Why am I blogging?
So why am I bothering to write a blog?
As a long-time member of the digerati, I always feel a little sheeeeeepish when I good bit o' techno-fun whizzes past me. Blogging has been the latest blush-fest, with podcasting being a bandwagon I jumped on JUST in time.
To be honest I have been staring up my own bum for the last 18 months due a Chernobyl scale relationship breakdown, so I have something of an excuse. But at last I am starting to read some of the FASCINATING stuff that people are writing. And boy there are some doozies out there.
One of the things that came out of 2005 for me, was that I really need to do more writing. I have been told this over and over for years, since my first year of high school actually, buts its something I have found hard to do. This year (2005) I had a writing class as part of my school course, so I had a structured encouragement to actually get some done - and you know what? I enjoyed it.
So this blog is simply my way of trying to create some structure for myself and start writing consistently. I am not sure if I am any good, or if anyone else is actually going to read all of this, but I hope it helps me to learn to at least appreciate the writing process better.
