SERENADE“Serenade” was one of the two films I produced in 2005 as part of my Post Grad in Producing. This film by Director Kyle Blanshard, took out the VCA Industry Awards for both Best Third Year Director and Best Cinematography, it was also a finalist for Best Film-school Production at the 2006 ATOM Awards.

It was also accepted into a number of festivals including 2006 Palm Springs SHORTFEST, 2006 Manhattan Short Film Festival, two European Festivals and was selected by the Australian Trade Commission to be part of OzFlix.

I am very proud of what we achieved, and working with Kyle was a pleasure, and the cast and crew were all amazing.

Here is the DVD jacket copy and a short intro to the film. Warning the is course language and sexual references.

Are we ever completely honest with the person we love? During a seemingly innocent night on the town, Marie and Julian will confront the nature of their relationship and each other.

In order for some relationships to survive the truth must be forgotten, replaced  with desire.

“I want you to want me, thats all I need”

This snippet is the opening to the film.
This is a largish file, so depending on your bandwidth it might take some time to load. If you are not seeing anything above here, you may need to get the latest flash player from Macromedia.
