Just as a little side note to my post on marriage.
It seems that all over the world, countries are starting to recognize same sex unions and to give them the same rights, privileges and obligations of traditional marriages.
Even thought Australia is not at the forefront of this social change we can console ourselves be knowing that at least we are not lagging behind our traditionally conservative mother country England, or countries with a history of serious human rights abuses like South Africa.
Oh, wait a second…..
